Kimberly
Rutter
General Manager
Kim Rutter serves as General Manager of Mutual Aid Agency, leading the organization’s vision, operations, and daily work with a deep commitment to service. She has been connected to MAA since the early 2000s and has served in her current role since 2012.
Before joining MAA full time, Kim spent 10 years as Vice President of Operations and Compliance at a local community bank. That experience shaped her practical approach to finance, attention to detail, and belief that strong systems should always exist to serve people. Today, she oversees MAA’s financials, marketing, client experience, and internal operations, ensuring the agency remains aligned with its mission and values.
At the heart of Kim’s work is a simple belief: people serving people. She hopes clients experience care, clarity, and education—not pressure—when working with MAA. For her, insurance is not just about policies, but about listening well, practicing good stewardship, and living out mutual aid together.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys Bible study, hiking Kansas State Parks, and spending time with her family, including her five grandchildren. She shares her home with two senior dogs, Snickers and Milo, and brings a thoughtful, steady presence to both her leadership and her life.

Today, she finds deep meaning in helping churches and personal lines clients save money while still maintaining the right coverage for their needs.
Heather hopes every client feels understood, respected, and genuinely supported when working with her. Guided by a belief in treating others the way she would want to be treated, she knows a little kindness can go a long way—especially on hard days.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys crafting when she finds the time and proudly shares that she was born prematurely at just 1 lb 12 oz—a reminder of resilience that still shapes her outlook today. Known for being kind, caring, and comical, she brings warmth and positivity into everything she does.
