Small Choice, Big Impact
Small Choice, Big Impact
A bit of yeast leavens the whole loaf, a flickering candle lights a dark room, and a tiny mustard seed grows into a towering tree: Little things make a big impact.
That’s true for the day-to-day choices we make, too. Choosing the stairs over the elevator can be the first steps toward a fitter, healthier you. Deciding to download Duolingo instead of Candy Crush could be the moment that begins your journey to a second language. Purchasing a tote bag over a single-use plastic option might inspire a lifetime of eco-friendly choices.
Each minuscule, mundane, seemingly unimportant choice we make matters; small actions can prompt monumental change.
Take selecting an insurance provider, for example.
You could make the choice based on any number of reasons. You could insure your home or car with the cheapest provider, or pick the one with the funniest commercials, or perhaps one with an agent that your brother’s friend knew in school. You might even have been using the same provider for so long that you don’t remember why you chose them in the first place.
Or you could choose insurance that does good in the world.
When you choose MAA, you’re choosing to support an organization that is dedicated to doing good. We promise to bring you the best protection available without compromising our values: promoting stewardship, lending a helping hand in times of crisis, and bearing one another’s burdens through mutual aid.
How do we do that? Only with your help.
A portion of your premium dollars goes back to the community through the Brethren Mutual Aid Share Fund, our nonprofit grant program that assists congregations, camps, and other Church of the Brethren ministries in times of need. If a member of that ministry is facing unexpected expenses from job loss, medical bills, or other financial hardship, they are eligible to receive help through the Share Fund.
You make that possible when you choose MAA as your insurance provider.
It might feel like a small thing—switching from your current provider to MAA—but we promise to put your hard-earned money toward something greater than profits, transforming your choice into something meaningful.
Maybe you can’t fix your neighbor’s roof or donate a large sum to your church's local ministry, but you can choose insurance that does good for others. It might feel like a small choice on your part, but it could make a world of difference to a neighbor in need.
